(Emanuela Degli Esposti)

Judith Liber was one of the most important person in my life, like she was part of my family. I agreed to write now about her, but it’s early because I still feel shocked by her sudden death. I would have loved to see her again and if it had not been for Virus Covid, I would have gone to Israel where I had met her for the first time in 1981, thanks to Zubin Mehta, who considered her the best harpist in the world. I studied with her for many years and was her master class assistant until 2013. Judith has trained generations of harpists, leaving each one precious teachings. She had a beautiful sound, her interpretation of the Ginastera concert and other pieces of the harp repertoire remain “milestones”. She also had an immense talent as a teacher, a great love for her students, an extraordinary empathy with all of us. I will always carry it in my heart and in some time I will seek the strength to write what has been, our important and wonderful years. I miss Judith very much. I recommend everyone to read her book “The power of Music” (Tremezzo, 2007) in which you will find many images and news on his artistic and didactic activity (Emanuela Degli Esposti)
