
- Structure of the Competition
All Candidates compete in a single category, the aim of the competition is to select flutists and solo harpists of the new generation.
The finalists will have the opportunity to perform as soloists at a concert scheduled for December 17, 2025 with the Orchestra of the Goldoni Theater in Livorno to decree the winners of the following prizes: I prize: 1000 € and concert II prize: €500 and concert III prize: concert
N.B. the prizes are awarded to each individual instrument in competition (3 prizes to flutists and 3 prizes to harpists)
The competition will be structured in two phases: – Online Elimination – final in presence with the Goldoni Theater Orchestra of Livorno
Online Preliminary Round
The preliminary round involves the sending of a video according to the procedures reported in point 4 of the call. Editing is not allowed and movements must be recorded without interruption.

The use of the piano in place of the orchestra in solo concerts for recordings is allowed

- 2. Who can participate in the competition
2.1 The competition is open to flutists and harpists from all countries who have not exceeded the age of twenty-five at the time of registration.
2.2 The competition is open exclusively to flutists and harpists.
3. Conditions of participation
3.1 The competition has a registration fee of €50 per candidate. Those who register before October 15, 2025 will be entitled to a reduction and will pay only € 30. Payment methods by bank transfer to the current account in the name of Opera Music Management, reporting the following data: Name: Opera Music Management S.r.l. 3.2 Each candidate is required to comply with the repertoire and its edition indicated in point 1 of this announcement, no program other than the above is allowed;
3.3 The finalists must perform in the Concert on December 17, 2025;
3.4 Execution from memory is not required;
3.5 Transcriptions and arrangements are not allowed, only the scores of the edition shown in the announcement are allowed;
3.6 Competitors must present the personal data requested at the time of registration and a valid identity document. Failure to do so may at any time invalidate your participation in the competition and, subsequently, the prize;
3.7 Competitors waive without opposition their rights to the footage and images made during the competition and the assigned concerts;
3.8 In the event of unforeseen events, the management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the competition;
3.9 No cuts or changes to the video are allowed in the online round, under penalty of exclusion from the competition.
- How to apply for the elimination phase online
DEADLINE: the application and the video must be received no later than 24:00 on the November 30, 2025. The outcome of the preliminary phase will be communicated by 10 December 2025 by email to the finalists. REGISTRATION & VIDEO: Applicants must complete the application form, which is available on the website www.operamusicmanagement.com by clicking on the “Y.O.M 2025 Competition” icon. At the same time as filling out the registration form, the upload of the video will be required.
Requirements during the compilation phase: – personal data; – copy of the receipt of payment of the required fee by bank transfer; – copy of a valid identity document; – authorization and valid identity document, of the parent, guardian or guardian in the case of competitors under 18 years of age; – a short curriculum vitae; – an artistic image (.jpeg photos); – professional or amateur quality videos. The final product must be made in full HD digital format (1920×1980). The following video formats are allowed: .mov, .avi, .wmv, .mp4, .mpg; – declaration of responsibility and commitment in participating in the final concert; – Indication of the concert and the related movements and cadences that will be performed in the final.
5. Online Elimination Stage Results
5.1 Those admitted to the final phase will be notified by email;
5.2 A maximum of 6 candidates will be selected;
5.3 Communications will be sent directly and exclusively to the e-mail address indicated in the application form;

6. Final phase in presence
6.1 The finalists will be hosted in facilities affiliated with the Orchestra of the Goldoni Theater of Livorno. It should be noted that hospitality is reserved only and exclusively for finalist musicians, any accompanying persons must provide independently;
6.2 The final phase will be in the form of a concert on 17 December 2025 (with a rehearsal on 16 December) during which the soloists will be accompanied by the Orchestra of the Goldoni Theatre of Livorno;
6.3 The winners of the first prize are required to participate in the rehearsals for the realization of the concert to be held on December 19, 2025 with a rehearsal on December 18; The winners of the II and III prizes will be informed later about the dates of their concerts with the other orchestras.
6.4 Nothing will be due for rehearsals and concert.
7. Awards
7.1 The winners are indicated at the sole discretion of the jury and will be awarded with participation in concerts with the Goldoni Theater Orchestra, the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra and the Bari Symphony Orchestra. 7.2 The concert with the Orchestra of the Goldoni Theater of Livorno will be recorded on video and broadcast on YouTube, so clothing for the concert is necessary;
7.3 The Jury reserves the right to award prizes ex aequo or not to award them;
7.4 The Jury may, at its sole discretion, also award prize concerts to other competitors who have distinguished themselves in the selection rounds;
7.5 The winners must guarantee, during the application phase, that they will take charge of the concerts: failure to hold the concert will result in the loss of the competition;
7.6 The organization does not cover travel expenses and any extras;
7.7 The prizes will be awarded only at the end of the concerts that took place in person as provided for in the announcement (section Prizes point 7.1).

- Jury
8.1 The jury of the eliminatory phase will be composed as follows:
– Artistic Director of the Goldoni Theater Orchestra; – A Commissioner, soloist of the instrument required by the call, who will also be present in the commission of the final phase.
8.2 The Jury of the final phase will be composed of: – Expert Committee, 50% of the vote – Orchestra, 25% of the vote – Public, 25% of the vote The commission of experts will be composed as follows: ● LUCIANO CORONA (Artistic Director of the Orchestra of the Goldoni Theater of Livorno) ● GIANCARLO DE LORENZO (Artistic Director of the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra) ● VITO CLEMENTE (Artistic Director of the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Bari) ● EMANUELE GAMBA (Artistic Director of the Goldoni Theatre in Livorno) ● ALESSANDRO PANETTO (APM Management) ● FABIO FABBRIZZI (Solo flutist) ● EMANUELA DEGLI ESPOSTI (Harpist Soloist and Professor at the A. 8.3 The decisions of the Jury are final; 8.4 It is forbidden to communicate with the members of the Jury until the end of the competition.
